Texas 4-H Opportunity Scholarships are academic scholarships awarded each year to applicants based on their academic record, 4-H experience, and financial need (for scholarships for which it is a required criterion).

You must complete this before mid-December!!  If you wait, you may not have in time to get the FAFSA paperwork submitted and receive the SAR report before the Texas 4-H Opportunity Scholarship application deadline! Without this you will not be able to apply!

Collegiate 4-H Scholarships

The Texas 4-H Youth Development Foundation provides a limited number of collegiate scholarships to students who are currently enrolled in a Texas College or University.  These scholarships are awarded to deserving former 4-H members who have continued to excel in both academics and service at the collegiate level.


Collegiate applications will not be accepted through 4-H CONNECT.

2019 Kaufman County Farm Bureau Scholarship

This year the Kaufman County Bureau is awarding Three (3) scholarships to outstanding youth in Kaufman County. The scholarships are for $1000 each and will be awarded on April 25, 2020. Please contact one of the Farm Bureau Branches in Forney, Kaufman or Terrell for more information or just ask your Farm Bureau Agent.
To be eligible, a student must:
· Be a resident of Kaufman County.
· Be a 2019 graduate of a high school in Kaufman County.
· Have been an active member of 4-H/FFA/FCCLA, and family be a Farm Bureau member for at least one (1) year.
· Meet entrance requirements of a Texas college, university, or technical school.
· Enroll full-time in a Texas college, university, or technical school in the Fall of 2019.
· Plan to major in an Agriculture or Family and Consumer Sciences related field.
· Submit SAT and/or ACT test scores. (May be provided on transcript.)
· Attach an official copy of high school transcript.
· Submit the completed application and attachments by March 28th, 2019.
Applications will be available through the following methods:
· Contact a County Farm Bureau Agent in any of the Farm Bureau offices in Terrell, Kaufman or Forney.
